The Society Papers Masquerade at The Henryette was an evening filled with fine fare, lively company, and delightful new acquaintances. The event honored three notable moments of the Season: the long-awaited revelation of the 'Lady in Silver' as Miss Sofia Baek, the solemn passing of Lord John Stirling of Kilmartin, and the much-anticipated return of Miss Cressida Cowper — or rather, Lady Penwood.

Miss Sofia Baek

The long-awaited revelation of the Lady in Silver as Miss Sofia Baek was a moment that will not soon be forgotten. What began as whispered curiosity quickly turned to admiration as society realized the poised and quietly confident young woman behind the mask. Miss Baek’s grace under scrutiny and her effortless charm have ensured that her name will remain on the lips of the ton long after the masquerade’s final candle has burned low.

Lord John Stirling of Kilmartin

The passing of Lord John Stirling of Kilmartin brought a note of solemn reflection to an otherwise jubilant Season. Known for his steady character and dignified presence, Lord Stirling embodied a quiet nobility that earned him deep respect among his peers. Though he may no longer walk among society’s gatherings, his legacy of honor and integrity will not soon be forgotten.

Miss Cressida Cowper, Lady Penwood

The return of Miss Cressida Cowper — the new Lady Penwood — has added a fresh current of intrigue to the Season. Marriage may have granted her a new title, but it has done little to diminish her commanding presence. Reentering society with poise and unmistakable confidence, Lady Penwood reminds the ton that reinvention can be its own most powerful statement.
